Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking an Associate Fabrication Specialist to support the Emergent Operations Machine Shop Team at our site in North Charleston, South Carolina.
The fabrication specialist performs machine setup and runs operation on CNC machines to produce parts from raw stock. They use precision measuring equipment to validate material and end part requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Performs machine set-up, machining, and fabrication tasks.
- Performs fabrication and assembly tasks.
- Assembles, repairs, modifies and installs various power plants and drive trains.
- Assembles and installs avionics products.
- Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests.
- Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation.
- Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements.
- Works on articles of limited complexity following established drawings and requirements.
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
- 1+ years of experience with CNC
- 1+ years of Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience
- 1+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English.
- Able to lift up to 35 lbs on a frequent basis
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 1+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1 year of experience with Lean Principles (Continuous Improvement, Standard Work, and 5-S tools)
- 1 year of experience leading any of the following: staff, teams, production, or quality system initiatives
- 1 year of experience with managing or working to safety, quality, and manufacturing performance data
- 1 year of experience with sanding, taping, mixing material, the application of paint

Summary pay range: $54,000 - $64,000
