Job Description:

What is the position: The Initial Operating Evaluation (IOE) Scheduler is a direct support role for crew resources department to ensure all flight crews are scheduled and have completed all Operating Experience (OE) in Initial and transitional training.

Essential Functions

  • Know and understand the information outlined in the Scheduling Manual: CFR 117/121 and all contract requirements for duty, rest, and minimum required time in IOE
  • Responsible for scheduling all initial, recurrent, and transition training events for Pilots and Flight Attendants
  • Responsible for notifying and scheduling all crew members due for checking events
  • Ensure all appropriate forms are entered in the crew records management system ensuring timely grading
  • Create and distribute IOE schedule assignments for IOE scheduling and recurrent events First Officers, Captains, Line Check Airman, Flight Attendants, and the FAA
  • Manage hotel and travel reservations for flight crew when necessary
  • Communicate IOE assignments to internal departments
  • Coordinates and schedules operation experience events
  • Assist in covering sick calls for Line Check Pilots keeping training intact
  • Attend all training meetings
  • Track, trend, and report progression while in IOE
  • Complete FEAT; Fatigue Education Awareness Training Annually
  • Accountable for Safety Management System SMS responsibilities
  • Assists with special projects as assigned by management

General requirements & qualifications:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Fluent in the English language, both written and spoken
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Satisfactory 10-year background history, including criminal background
  • Intermediate computer skills including MS Office

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary Work

Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body, sedentary work involves sitting most of the time and walking /standing occasionally

Visual Acuity:

Includes inspection, close assembly, clerical administrative; This is a minimal standard for use with those whose work deals largely with preparing and analyzing data and figures, accounting, computer, extensive reading.

Environmental Conditions:

Inside environmental conditions; protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
