Position Summary
MAG currently has an opening for a System Analyst to support our Lawton, Oklahoma efforts. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Fires Division Post Deployment Software Support (PDSS) and Post-Production Software Support (PPSS) Maintenance and Sustainment mission. In this mission, we provide engineering and technical services to the CECOM Software Engineering Center Mission Command Division based in Aberdeen MD with operations located at Ft. Sill/Lawton, OK.
Successful candidates will support our customer in creating capabilities and providing technical services and subject matter expertise in Mission Command, Fires and C2 Maneuver systems. You will provide technical support to the Family of US Army’s FIRES Systems including: AFATDS, AN/TQP-53 and LCMR Q49A.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
- Assist in the design, development testing, and maintenance of software for a variety of engineering applications.
- Work with software developers to understand the analytic or interface requirements.
- Assist in the testing of tools and interfaces.
- Assist in design and testing of operating systems-level software and network distribution software applications.
- Assist in setting operational specifications and analyzing software requirements.
- Assist in design embedded systems software.
- Analyze user needs, design and test software solutions.
- Assist fielded units by troubleshooting and providing feedback on reported issues.
- Operate AFATDS and related external interfaces to support the testing of implemented software solutions.
- Generate and execute operational test cases to verify implemented software solutions.
- Maintain and update software specifications, release notes, formal test documentation, and training materials as needed and applicable.
- Provide subject matter expertise at remote locations for formal test events.
- Maintain lab test environments with the currently fielded versions of AFATDS and external interfaces used by AFATDS.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- 2-4 years of prior relevant AFATDS experience
- Associate’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, or other Engineering or Technical discipline.
- 4 additional years of applicable experience may be substituted for the degree.
- Must be knowledgeable in AFATDS operations, and familiar with doctrinal concepts associated with AFATDS operation, techniques, tactics, and procedures.
- Must be able to travel TDY to support development/testing activities for the customer

- Must be a US Citizen
- Must possess an active Secret security clearance

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $94500 to $175500 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAGs total compensation package for employees.
