System Administrator

Job Description:

DPP is seeking a System Administrator for an opportunity in Columbia, SC.

Location: Fully onsite in Columbia, SC
Duration: 6 months
Work authorization: Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.

Position summary:

The System Administrator will provide 24/7 Tier 2 Helpdesk and Operational support for the 94 US attorney offices nationwide and operates in a Network Operations Center (NOC) environment, providing remote technical support and infrastructure monitoring.

Key responsibilities:

Provide Tier 2 technical support via phone and email to IT staff across multiple locations.
Monitor and manage enterprise IT infrastructure in a NOC environment.
Administer and support Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, patch management, and upgrades.
Support desktop and server deployments using tools such as SCCM or BigFix.
Manage user accounts, permissions, DNS, GPOs, and organizational units in Active Directory.
Assist with backup, recovery, and data replication processes.
Utilize enterprise monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Splunk, vCenter, Nagios, or similar platforms.

Qualifications:

6+ years of IT support experience in a Windows Active Directory environment, OR
6+ years supporting IT infrastructure, including Windows systems, networks, and hardware.
Minimum 2 years of customer-facing IT support experience.
Experience with enterprise monitoring tools, patch management, and system administration.

Additional requirements:

Strong troubleshooting and multitasking skills.
Ability to support a large enterprise environment.
Must be eligible to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
