Job SummaryThe Chief – Production Engineering leads the Production Engineering organization responsible for manufacturing support, build sequence optimization, tooling coordination, and production issue resolution across DHC operations.Accountabilities Lead and develop Production Engineering personnel supporting aircraft assembly and modification activities.Coordinate engineering support for manufacturing readiness and production change incorporation.Drive rapid resolution of production non-conformances and build interruptions.Support tooling, methods, and production process optimization initiatives.Coordinate engineering support during aircraft delivery, ground runs, and flight test activities.Drive continuous improvement focused on production efficiency and first-time quality. Education RequiredBachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems, Materials, or related Engineering disciplineExperience, Skills and AttitudeProgressive aerospace engineering experience supporting aircraft development, certification, production, modification, or sustaining activities.Strong understanding of Transport Canada, FAA, and EASA regulatory requirements applicable to the role.Demonstrated technical leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capability.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Licensed or eligible for licensing as a Professional Engineer in Canada.Demonstrates strong aerospace engineering judgement and technical credibility.Builds alignment and trust across Engineering, Production, Certification, and Program organizations.Drives accountability, execution discipline, and continuous improvement.Promotes practical, certifiable, manufacturable, and customer-focused engineering solutions.Contributes to a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance engineering culture.
