This role is part of the Information Technology (IMT) Department under the Solution Centre, specifically within the Revenue and Airline Planning Solution Centre, which is dedicated to supporting the airline planning’s business and its associated platforms. The Revenue and Airline Planning Solution Centre focuses on delivering innovative, scalable, and secure technology solutions that enhance airline engagement, streamline airport operations, and enable data-driven personalization across the airport operations lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities- Lead the IT Altea Configuration team managing Cathay’s business rules and system configurations across Amadeus products
- Maintain business rules and configurations efficiently in alignment with company policies and practices
- Coordinate rule changes that affect multiple products within the Altea suite.
- Oversee configuration updates related to new code share partners, destinations, or aircraft types
- Manage changes tied to evolving business practices, such as automation in seating and disruption handling
- Assess potential impacts of configuration changes and implement mitigation strategies
- Support testing of new features, functions, and business process changes.
- Foster collaboration and establish working practices with adjacent departments.
- Ensure proper documentation and audit trails for all configuration changes
- Supervise the team in providing support, diagnosing root causes, and liaising with Amadeus for Level 3 incident resolution
Requirements- Minimum 10 years of experience in Reservations, Inventory, and Departure Control with deep operational knowledge
- Tertiary education qualifications are preferred
- Solid understanding of the Altea product suite and its configuration for Cathay’s business needs
- Strong capability to work with complex logic and rules, and assess their business impact
- Detail-oriented with robust analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Credibility across business units, IMT, and supplier communities
- Willingness to take ownership and accountability
- Proven experience in staff management and team development
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills across all management levels.
- Ability to coach, motivate, and nurture team members
