Purpose of the position
We are looking for a (Cloud) Data Engineer to join our team. You will be part of a team that is company-wide responsible to provide end-to-end data solutions for different audiences ranging from Management to different functional (Commercial, Operational,...) areas.
- In order to deliver complete end-solutions within the company, you work intensively with the business analysts, the IT department (architects and integration engineers), and with the various BI team-members (data engineers and data analysts).
- As such, you will gather business requirements, design the model, and implement the solution in an agile fashion. The solutions you and the team provide are aiming to increase the level of analytics and efficiency in the different areas, highly impact the decision making, and therefor play a vital role in the future success of our company.
- Last but not least, you are eager to learn and grow, innovation is a natural interest, and you love to stay in touch with the latest technological trends in the data & analytics domain.
Requirements
- Master degree Computer Sciences, Engineering or Management / equivalent through experience
- > 4 years of experience in data analytics role
- Strong conceptual capabilities + ability to understand business RQST from all levels & ability to translate RQST into technical requirements
- Organized work attitude
- Excellent methodological & analytical skills + quickly understand complex issues
- Good interpersonal & -cultural communication
- Action & solution oriented + positive attitude + team player
- Very good English verbal + written. Dutch and/or French plus
- > 4 years experience in data domains like Data Warehousing approaches + methodologies: Kimbal, Inmon,...
- ER modeling, 3NF,Data Vault 2.0, dimensional modeling, Data integration, ETL, ELT incl SQL, TSQL, Python, R, PySpark, Big data, NoSQL, SSIS, SSMS, Lakehouse, Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, Databricks, Event Hubs, Stream Analytics
- Experience with visual analytics, dashboards + report design (Spotfire, PowerBI, Tableau,...) + Big Data approaches architectures
- Experience with cloud (Azure) platforms + PAAS components for data & analytics
