(Overview of Job) This internship will begin on May 4, 2026.This 16-month internship offers a unique opportunity for an aerospace/mechanical engineering student to gain hands-on experience in aircraft structural engineering within an operational, in-service environment.As a Structures Engineering Intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers supporting active aircraft operators. Your work will contribute directly to keeping aircraft flying safely and efficiently through the development of structural repair solutions, stress analysis, in-service modifications, and technical investigations.This role goes beyond academic exercises — you will apply engineering fundamentals to real damage reports, operational constraints, and technical queries from airline customers, gaining valuable insight into how aircraft are supported throughout their service life.Key Responsibilities Design repair solutions for damaged aircraft structural componentsPerform and document structural stress analysis to substantiate repair designsDesign and substantiate in-service aircraft modificationsInvestigate recurring or emerging fleet issues and prepare engineering reportsSupport ferry flight recommendations and other engineering concessionsCollaborate with internal engineering teams, aircraft manufacturers, suppliers, and airline customersCommunicate technical findings clearly through drawings, reports, and presentationsWhat You’ll Gain Long-term exposure to real-world aircraft structures engineeringExperience producing engineering deliverables used by aircraft operatorsPractical understanding of certification, airworthiness, and in-service supportProgressive responsibility and mentorship over a 16-month termStrong preparation for a career in aerospace structures, repairs, or designEducation & Qualifications Currently enrolled in an Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering Bachelor’s or Master’s programCompletion of at least two years of undergraduate studies preferredSkills & Assets Proficiency with Microsoft Office (required)Experience with CATIA V5 (asset)Programming experience (asset)Strong verbal and written communication skillsCuriosity about aircraft structures and a problem-solving mindset
