Shift Pattern / Working Hours

‘Double days (earlies and lates rotated weekly:

Week 1 : Earlies – Monday- Thursday 6am-1.30pm/ Friday 6am-1pm

Week 2: Lates – Monday-Thursday 1.15-9pm/ Friday 1-7pm

Morson are proud to be working in partnership with Safran to recruit CNC Turners to support the GDS programme at their Wolverhampton site.

What does the role look like?

Your role will be to perform machining within a precision engineering environment working on high profile aerospace programmes.

What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?

•Set up, operate and perform basic adjustments to 5-axis turning and milling machines.

• Monitor production quality and machine performance, resolving basic technical issues.

• Work closely with Manufacturing Engineers on new part introductions and cell development.

• Adhere to process layouts, work instructions, and compliance systems.

• Support First Line Maintenance and TPM activities within the cell.

• Move materials, monitor SWIP, and ensure tooling and equipment availability.

• Actively participate in lean events and support continuous improvement.

•Follow all EHS procedures and safety protocols.

What will you bring to the role?

Machining experience and ability to adapt and learn new machines.  A positive attitude with the ability to work autonomously and also within a team

Essential Skills

• machining experience within a precision engineering environment.

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification  (city and guilds level 3) – please enquire if unclear 

Desirable Experience

• Apprentice trained background.

• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

• Experience supporting new technology or cell introduction.
