Position Purpose

Under guidance and supervision of a Licensed A&P Mechanic, performs preventive maintenance, repair, modifications and other maintenance of aircraft, aircraft components, assemblies and parts in accordance with company policies and Federal Regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities

Under Direct Supervision from Journeyman level mechanics in various cells perform maintenance, repair, overhaul and fabrication of parts and assemblies, including disassembly and assembly of parts, components, and/or aircraft to appropriate documents and specifications, and /or remove and install components on the aircraft at the Erickson facilities.

Completes on-the-job-training (OJT) forms and any required training.

Perform housing keeping and other organizational requirements, including general cleanup of work areas.

Maintains regular and prompt attendance and time clock adherence.

Demonstrates effective and appropriate conduct with co-workers.

Work in a team environment.

Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalency, Valid Driver’s license.

Must pass a math placement exam at Rogue Community College (Math 65 or higher) or show prior completion with a copy of transcript.

Read, write and understand English.

Must have completed 250 hours of employment at Erickson Inc., or a registered training agent.

Register at RCC and commit to paying for and attending night classes as scheduled. Maintain a grade level of “C” or above for each course.

Commit to 2½ year program (minimum of 4812 hours OJT and 352 hours of theory classes) and comply with the State of Oregon Standards of Apprenticeship.

Agree to wage progression schedule in compliance with State of Oregon Standards of Apprenticeship.

Proven record of meeting or exceeding job performance expectations.

Comply with Federal and State Laws.
