Are you an experienced aerospace professional ready to take your skills to the flight line? PDS Tech Commercial is seeking Flight Readiness Technician Inspectors (FRTI – Level C) to join our team in San Antonio, TX, supporting one of the most advanced storage operations in the aerospace industry.
What You’ll Do:
As a Flight Readiness Technician, you’ll play a critical role in verifying the safety and readiness of aircraft systems before and after flights. Your inspections and expertise will directly impact the successful delivery and continued airworthiness of high-value aerospace products.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Conduct inspection and verification of aircraft system installations and flight components
Troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and avionics systems
Perform pre-flight and post-flight checks and verify maintenance and modifications
Create non-conformance records and support documentation of identified issues
Perform functional testing, document findings, and assist with aircraft delivery inspections
Work with minimal supervision, plan your tasks, and collaborate within a team environment
Work Schedule & Details:
Location: San Antonio, TX (on-site)
Shift: Monday–Friday, variable shifts (1st & 2nd)
Type: Full-time Consultant (9 months)
Pay Rate: $45/hour
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
What You Bring:
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of aerospace industry experience
3+ years in quality inspection and/or auditing
Experience with Velocity and 787 production applications
Ability to work any shift, including weekends
Physically able to lift up to 35 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
Must pass visual acuity and color perception tests
Experience following detailed verbal and written instructions
Team player with a focus on safety and precision
Preferred Qualifications:
FAA Airframe & Power Plant License
3+ years of 787 Program and/or FOD risk experience
Team leadership (formal/informal)
Knowledge of REDARS, PSDS, BAC specs, and NCR/EPD documentation
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
3+ years of flight line operations experience

Pay Details: $45.00 per hour
