General

The Quality Assurance Inspector (QAI) is accountable and reports directly to the Quality Assurance Manager - QAD. The QAI performs quality audits, quality inspection, regulatory review, investigations, interpretation and provide direction

of the definitive compliance of relevant airworthiness and aviation regulatory requirements that may affect ADEP operations.

Responsibility

a. General Description:

i. Cross-functionalities (i.e. Quality Audit function – Regulatory

Compliance function) are evident in the duties and responsibilities of a

QAI. However, focus areas or individual projects are identified and

related by their immediate superior or directly by the Quality Assurance

Manager – QAD.

b. Auditor function:

i. Assist in the development of Audit Schedule for Maintenance and

Engineering related areas;

ii. Performs on-site/remote audit on ADEP’s Prospective or Accredited

Service Provider and various vendors (aeronautical products);

iii. Performs actual audits and inspection in accordance with established

audit procedures;

iv. Evaluate the applicability of proposed corrective/preventive action plan;

v. Verify effectiveness of implemented corrective/preventive action;

vi. Act as mediator in identifying gaps and ensuring alignment of

Engineering procedures/processes to other operational departments.

vii. Reports to Quality Assurance Manager – QAD for any difficulty

encountered during the performance of assigned audits.

Regulatory Compliance function:

i.Proposing of amendment to the QSM for continuous improvement;

ii. Ensure that the ADEP Line Maintenance personnel are qualified for

Authorization, based on established ADEP Authorization Procedures

prior to issuance of company authorization;

iii. Ensure that all vendors and sub-contractors that ADEP render services

or provides necessary supplies are properly evaluated and accredited

accordingly;

iv. Ensure that all engineering/technical requests, applications, procedures

or queries are properly evaluated prior to submission to CAAP;

v. May assist during Aircraft Accident/Incident inquiry involving ADEP

Aircraft or other related situation. This is to identify and establish the

root cause and basis for formulating preventive measures;

vi. Ensure that all Reportable Defects and Occurrences (e.g. AMR, MOR)

are reported to the Authorities, promptly;

vii. Liaise and coordinates with different Authorities on matters pertaining to

the aircraft airworthiness and regulatory compliances;

viii. Implement the Regulatory Watch procedure to ensure ADEP is abreast

with newly released and/or amendments on applicable regulations,

memorandum and advisory circulars;

ix. To carry out any other tasks as directed by the Quality Assurance

Manager – QAD.

Requirements for Quality Assurance Inspector (QAI)

General Background

a. Must possess a college degree, preferably engineering or aviation related

course;

b. Must have a good knowledge in the Philippine Civil Aviation Regulations

(PCAR) and other international aviation regulations;

c. Must have at least three (3) years’ experience in the airline operations,

particularly maintenance operations relating to their specific QAI function;

d. Must have a good knowledge in the implementation of QMS;

e. Have relevant airline operational and auditing experience;

f. Must have training on Quality Management System Audit
