Job Title: Structures MechanicJob DescriptionAs a Structures Mechanic, you will be responsible for the heavy maintenance and refurbishment of heavy-lift commercial operation helicopters, specifically the S64 model. You will utilize blueprints to perform repairs by riveting, countersinking, bending, and cutting sheet metal, as well as installing structural components. Our team maintains a fleet often deployed during fire season, performing heavy checks and upgrades. Additionally, we rebuild S-64s using airframes from storage, our inventory, and fabricate and install other systems for fleet additions or sales to other operators.
Responsibilities- Perform heavy maintenance and refurbishment of S64 helicopters.
- Utilize blueprints to execute repairs by riveting, countersinking, bending, and cutting sheet metal.
- Install structural components as needed.
- Conduct full rebuilds of S-64s using available resources and fabricate necessary systems.
- Assign tasks based on mechanical abilities, such as fabrication or installation.
Essential Skills- Proficiency in structures and sheet metal work for aircraft.
- Experience with helicopter structural repair and aviation mechanics.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and execute sheet metal repairs.
- Competence in drilling, cutting, bending, countersinking, and riveting aircraft sheet metal.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Comfortable performing a Structures test on or before the first day, including riveting and bending tasks.
- Possession of basic hand tools is required.
- A&P certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum of 4 years of Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) experience, especially for at least two mechanics.
- Willingness to accommodate candidates from local or aircraft structures manufacturing backgrounds.

Work EnvironmentWork in aircraft hangar and shop areas located in Central Point, OR. Our headquarters include engineering, administration, machining, and quality departments. Access to a highly advanced electronic tool crib is provided. The standard shift is Monday through Thursday from 6 AM to 4 PM, and Friday from 6 AM to 2:30 PM. After 3 months, there is a possibility of moving to a 3 PM to 2 AM shift (4 x 10s). The second shift is newly established, with a lead already in place and plans to build up the team.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $42.00 - $52.00/hr.
