You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients by installing and maintaining state-of-the-art fire alarm systems.
You will report directly to our Field Service Manager and youll work out of our Dallas, TX location on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact our organization by providing expert technical support and ensuring the successful implementation of fire alarm systems. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will contribute to the overall safety and satisfaction of our clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, commission, program, and set fire alarm systems according to project specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve any issues or malfunctions.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely and successful project completion.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians and assist in their training and development.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed, including system configurations, test results, and customer interactions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in fire alarm systems.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
YOU MUST HAVE
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fire alarm system installation, commissioning, programming, and setting.
- TX Fire Alarm License
- NICET 1 or higher Certification (or must be able to obtain within 90 days)
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm codes, standards, and regulations.
- Proficiency in programming fire alarm control panels and devices.
- In-depth knowledge of Fire alarm systems, plans, specifications, and solid understanding of contracting relationships
- Competent in MS Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook
- Excellent customer service skills with experience in technical phone or onsite customer support including good interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to travel both locally to customer sites and overnight up to 25 as workload demands
- Valid drivers license and safe driving record ability to pass background check.
WE VALUE
- Certification in fire alarm systems (e.g., NICET, manufacturer-specific certifications).
- 1+ years related security system and access systems.
- Adaptable and eager to learn Building Automation Systems (BAS).
- Building Networks infrastructure knowledge (wiring, CAT, Cables, Fiber optics etc.).
- Understanding of typical communication topologies is important a plus Knowledge of Fire alarms, smoke control and security systems a plus
- Experience in supervising and mentoring junior technicians.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
