PURPOSEThe Manager Accounting is accountable for ensuring statutory compliance, audit integrity, and financial accuracy across subsidiaries and regions. The role safeguards adherence to local tax regulations, manages ledger reconciliations, and oversees travel and expense reporting. With a strong international mindset, the Manager Accounting anticipates compliance challenges across jurisdictions, engages proactively in budgetary discussions, and drives process improvements that strengthen SITA’s ability to deliver reliable, world‑class services to its customers. .
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Ensure complete and accurate processing of financial information in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Reconcile ledgers and provide supporting information for reconciliation within the area of responsibility.
- Resolve queries with internal and external stakeholders, escalating to line management when required.
- Run control statements and report findings to line management.
- Provide accurate and complete information for internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with statutory accounting, tax regulations, and group accounting policies.
- Oversee travel and expense reporting, ensuring adherence to local obligations.
- Lead departmental projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Manage audit processes with a strong focus on international compliance challenges.
- Engage proactively in budgetary discussions to mitigate compliance risks.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE- Minimum 10 years of statutory accounting experience and CA must including statutory and internal audits.
- Strong background in accounting with relevant international exposure.
- Proven ability to manage compliance issues across multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience in managing subsidiaries and ensuring adherence to local tax regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively and deliver results under pressure.
- Prior experience in implementing financial systems and driving change management initiatives.

- Sound judgment, discretion, and professional integrity.
- Excellent communication skills to engage internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Understanding of statutory accounting principles and ability to apply processes/procedures effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of Oracle SUN (or equivalent financial systems) and Hyperion reporting system is desirable.
- International mindset with strong compliance orientation.
- Ability to manage complex regulatory environments and ensure adherence to local obligations.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS- University Degree in Accounting and Finance.- Professional accounting qualification (e.g. Certified Public Accountant Association of Chartered Accountants Association of Chartered Certified Accountants Chartered Institute of Management Accountants ).- Project Management training is an advantage.
