Role PurposeTo ensure independent oversight and continuous compliance of all Part 145 approved Base & Line Maintenance, Engine and Component Workshops, and NDT activities across Malaysia with applicable aviation authorities and regulatory requirements.
Key Accountability
- Develop and maintain the organisations standard practices and procedures including the associated procedure(s) for use within the organization and ensure their adequacy and conformance to the Regulatory requirements and recognised standards.
- Establish and maintain a quality audit and surveillance programme throughout Part 145 organisation and recommend measures for continuous quality system improvement.
- Establish and maintain the organisation personnel assessment and approval system to ensure the attainment of required competencies to perform maintenance task and activities to the highest quality standards.
- Develop and maintain organisations maintenance capability qualifying and approving system to support the operational and business needs and to ensure its conformance to Regulatory requirement and industry standards.
- Function as liaison point to the Authorities and responsible for the dissemination of accurate information and timely submission of mandatory airworthiness occurrences including initiation of any necessary further investigation and follow-up activities
Qualification
Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License or MAB Companys Approval; or
Degree - Engineering related field (Master Degree in Engineering or Business related is very much preferred)
Working Experience
More than 5 years experience on aircraft maintenance and certification and 2- 5 years experience in quality system / audit management or relevant engineering & maintenance management.
Skills & Knowledge
- Expert knowledge on aircraft and component maintenance, and engineering activities and processes.
- Strong technical knowledge & skills including knowledge on regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Investigation, Quality Systems and Auditing techniques, and process improvement.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Key Challenges
- High volume of activities with tight turnaround time.
- Rapid development of new technology require personnel to be kept informed and updated on regular basis.
- Geographical distance between home base and respective Authorities HQ put constraint on delivery of urgent and critical information in timely manner especially regarding accidents and incidents.
