As we advance toward a connected digital ecosystem, the Omnichannel Design System serves as a foundational capability for delivering consistent, accessible, and high‑quality digital experiences. The Manager, Omnichannel Design System is responsible for defining, scaling, and governing Delta’s omnichannel digital design system. This role provides strategic and hands-on leadership to ensure the system supports user needs, product growth, brand integrity, and emerging AI assisted design capabilities across Delta’s digital ecosystem. The role also manages the individuals on the Design Systems team (designers, product managers, etc.). Responsibilities Lead the Design Systems team, fostering strong systems thinking, craft excellence, and collaborationDefine and own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Delta’s Omnichannel Digital Design System and guide its long-term-evolution and ensuring it supports enterprise growth and emerging AI capabilities.Partner with Product, Engineering, Platform, and Brand teams to align on standards and integrate the system across the digital ecosystem. Establish and maintain governance models for contribution, review, updates, deprecation, and system standards. Drive adoption through education, advocacy, documentation, playbooks, and ongoing enablement.Enable AI driven design by ensuring the system is consumable by AI tools, including: Defining AI compatible components, patterns, and system rules with cross‑functional partners. Establishing system‑level constraints and guardrails to ensure AI generated outputs remain accessible, on‑brand, compliant, and consistent. Encoding omnichannel consistency through shared tokens, layout logic, naming conventions, and channel aware rules so AI generated designs adapt appropriately across platforms. Proactively identify risks such as fragmentation, inconsistency, design debt, or uncontrolled AI generated variance, and guide mitigation through governance and system evolution.
