Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is accountable for achieving the People, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Cost (PSQDIC) targets through the disciplined and rigorous adherence to manufacturing and quality standards.

The Production Supervisor is accountable for attaining Operational Excellence across their designated area of responsibility, in line with the Performance Center objectives.

The Production Supervisor is accountable for creating a ‘Great Place To Work’ through developing and empowering first class Team Members and driving a culture of continuous improvement, safe working and open dialogue.

Job Responsibilities

Direct and supervise a team of production operators, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and monitoring performance.
Leading and developing their teams to understand the context, and mechanics of PSQDIC targets to meet customer and stakeholder commitments
Maintain strict adherence to Quality and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) standards.
Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and development for the team.
Conduct performance reviews and address performance issues as needed.
Coordinate with other Production Supervisors to ensure the best performance outcomes for the entire Area
Collaborate with other functional departments (quality, engineering, production control etc.) to address production issues.
Active involvement in problem solving and the management system to solve problems with the ambition that 95 of issues can be solved within the zone itself
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication.
Driving and facilitating the Engagement of all team members, ensuring engagement actions are defined, implemented and followed-through

Job Requirements:

Job Qualifications

U.S. Citizen
An evidenced track record in;
- Operations leadership
- Understanding of performance numbers and trends
- Meeting and exceeding SQDIP performance targets
- Using effective communication to build a high performing team
- Influencing across functional lines
- The ability to Lead, Coach and Develop direct reports
- Consistently working to standards as defined in the site Business/Quality Management System (B/QMS)
Experience working with a Lean Operating Model / Production System
5 Years’ Experience in a production supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor Degree in a related field (Operations, Engineering, Management)
- 5 years of relevant experience with a degree
- 3 years of relevant experience with an advanced degree
- High School diploma and 7 years’ relevant experience in lieu of degree
  Preferred Qualifications:
  - Active Security Clearance
  - Self-motivated by meeting and exceeding PSQDIC performance targets
  - Working experience and knowledge with lean principles and SAP
  - Qualifications in an Engineering or Science discipline
  - Experience working with a Lean Operating Model / Production System
  - Lean or Six Sigma certification
  Physical:
  - Must be able to work in a production environment and travel throughout the facility and corporation to obtain information needed to perform job functions.
  - Ability to lift and/or move up to 45lbs, using proper lifting techniques.
  - Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
