Tasks

As Strategic Procurement Manager Base Maintenance & Landing Gear (BM&LG) at Brussels Airlines, your mission is to lead sourcing strategies that ensure reliable, cost-effective procurement of base maintenance services and landing gear overhauls. Reporting to the Head of Commercial and Supply Chain

Lead procurement for base maintenance & landing gear from strategy to contract
Conduct sourcing, manage tenders, and evaluate suppliers based on TCO
Negotiate contracts and ensure supplier performance and continuous improvement
Build supplier partnerships and align with Lufthansa Group for synergies
Translate business needs into sourcing strategies and ensure regulatory compliance
Lead and coach a small technical team, improving procedures and team performance
Support budgeting, track KPIs, and implement cost-saving initiatives
Coordinate with internal stakeholders and represent Brussels Airlines in group tenders

Requirements

University Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent
5+ years in Procurement or Supply Chain
Strong in negotiations, contract management & TCO
Aviation knowledge: base maintenance, TAT, EASA regs
Financially savvy with business value chain insight
Proven leadership of small technical teams
Skilled in project management & multitasking
Proactive problem-solver with strong data skills
Proficient in MS Office & data analysis
Experienced in supplier management & intercultural communication
Fluent in English; Dutch/French is a plus
Willing to travel and work in a global environment
