Position Summary
MAG Aerospace is seeking a Cybersecurity Lead for a new multidisciplinary Product Office at Fort Belvoir, VA. This opportunity is contingent upon contract award, which is projected in April or May 2025. 100 onsite work is currently forecasted. Application to this position may include pre-hire assessments in general cognition, technical aptitude, communication, and soft skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as senior cybersecurity functional lead, providing mentorship, training, standardization, and technical leadership across the program
- Serve as subject matter expert for all cybersecurity/information technology aspects of assigned program
- Perform top-level system architecture related design, development, integration, testing, installation, and troubleshooting
- Translate military operational and mission requirements (ground, sea, air, and space) into practical systems concepts and design performance requirements
- Participate in post awards, program reviews, design reviews, and IPTs as the cybersecurity specialist/engineering on assigned programs
- Evaluate and conduct design efforts from a cybersecurity view point to ensure integration of all required cybersecurity products and adequacy of the analyses
- Prepare and review cybersecurity related test plans, procedures, and reports on technical adequacy on assigned programs, for both Government and contractor tests, as well as related failure reports
- Review and evaluate system performance against cybersecurity related specification requirements, monitor and assess field performance, and assess risk of meeting user and specification requirements
- Prepare and evaluate cybersecurity security strategies for requested programs
- Lead operational Cyber Security accreditation and certification of embedded systems accredited at Secret level and below
- Apply AR 25-2 and the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) to obtain system accreditation using the DoD RMF and the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) software
- Prepare recommended IA approval and supporting information documentation and understand systems engineering processes
- Perform security analyses and risk/vulnerability assessments
- Execute day-to-day certification and accreditation activities for a project team
- Serve as consultant to other team members and mentor workforce on Cybersecurity matters
- Evaluate Cybersecurity products, procedures, and system architecture used on past programs, and establish new and innovative cybersecurity strategies
- Identify issues and brief PM on possible courses of action and their impact

Minimum Requirements
Knowledge and Skills
- Advanced understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and best practices
- Expertise in RMF (Risk Management Framework) implementation and documentation
- Experience with audit planning and execution
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated project management skills for cybersecurity initiatives
- Experience developing standard operating procedures and templates
- Experience with secure software development lifecycle integration
- Knowledge of DoD standards guiding cybersecurity policy, requirements, integration, engineering, and certification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience
- 20 years of relevant experience
- Leadership experience on DoD cybersecurity programs
Education
- The minimum level of education required is: MS in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Information Science
- Current IAM III certification (CISSP, CISM, or GSLC)
Clearance
- Active SECRET security clearance (verifiable in DISS)

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $160000 to $205000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAGs total compensation package for employees.
