Job Description

• Perform metals joining operations on aerospace components using techniques such as TIG welding, brazing, and heat treatment.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine the appropriate joining methods and materials.
• Conduct inspections and tests on joined components to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain and operate welding and joining equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and properly calibrated.
• Collaborate with engineers and quality assurance personnel to troubleshoot and resolve joining-related issues.
• Document all joining processes and maintain accurate records of materials used, techniques applied, and inspections performed.
• Adhere to safety regulations and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and quality.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s  Degree or High School Diploma / GED from an accredited  school or institution

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment.
• Capability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and elevated areas.
• Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination for precise welding and joining tasks.

Desired Requirements

• Proficiency in various welding techniques, particularly TIG welding, and familiarity with brazing and heat treatment
• Strong understanding of aerospace materials, such as stainless steel, inconel, titanium, and other alloys.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
