Senior Officer, Import Breakdown

To monitor and support the Import Breakdown process / activities as per requirement and service standard by monitoring the resources and vendor manpower.

• Achieve the performance standard for Import KUL cargo, ensuring that 99.5 of cargo is ready within the stipulated timeframe from ATA (Actual Time of Arrival).
• Maintain the Import Breakdown cargo mishandling rate below 0.05 by ensuring proper handling, sorting, and verification processes are followed at all times.
• Ensure all cargo handling and operational processes comply with the established procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor pre-alerts, sensitive shipments, and QTC shipments to ensure they are properly tracked and prepared in a timely manner for export build-up operations.
• Ensure proper warehouse housekeeping is maintained, including cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance within the warehouse area.

• Minimum SPM / Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Aviation Management, or a related field with at least 1-3 years of experience in cargo handling, warehouse operations, or logistics operations is an added advantage.

• Knowledge in cargo handling and IATA Regulations
• Knowledge in LMS and CWIS systems
• Able to establish effective working relationship with many different people from various levels in the organisation
• Professional, courteous, reliable and good negotiation skills. Strong written, spoken communication as well as presentation skills.

• Familiarity with air cargo operations, pre-alert monitoring, and shipment documentation is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment and meet performance targets
• Good attention to detail to ensure accuracy and minimize cargo mishandling.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with cargo or warehouse management systems is an advantage.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays if required.
• Good teamwork, communication, and coordination skills.
