Job Title: Technical Estimator | Position Summary: Estimates costs for engineering, manufacturing, or other implementation projects based on an analysis of project technical requirements. Collects data and analyzes all project costs, including raw materials, labor, equipment and tooling to ensure estimates are accurate. Identifies and quantifies potential cost uncertainties to ensure costing models capture the full range of potential costs. Updates costs as necessary based on new information and project scope changes. Coordinates with project management, engineering, procurement and other project stakeholders. Requires a bachelors degree. Typically reports to a manager. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Essential Job Functions Administer Sales Contracts and Order Process to Completion Schedules and Databases, Purchase Agreements, Specifications, Configuration, Invoicing and Delivery to ensure parts are built to customer specifications and standards. Coordinates the entire quote-to-order cycle, while collaborating closely with Project Managers, Outside Sales, Product Quoters, and the Project Engineering group to guarantee quote accuracy and timely turnaround, all while balancing customer and commercial business requirements. Conducts product configuration and meticulously analyze customer quote requirements to generate equipment quotations aligning with defined customer needs. Oversee projects from Request for Quotation (RFQ) Efficiently communicate and guide projects through the entire process, ensuring transparency and alignment with customer expectations. Analyze, manage, communicate, and mitigate risks from quote to delivery Review quotes/projects thoroughly to schedule deliverables and estimate costs accurately. Validate and audit projects/quotes to ensure accuracy and meet or exceed target margin expectations for respective spanets/regions. Coordinate with relevant functions for order fulfillment and project delivery, ensuring all aspects align with customer expectations. Actively participate in and contribute PIMCO business development projects, fostering innovation and growth within the organization. Maintain organized file structures and actively participate in developing and maintaining project task boards. Ensures prioritization of required work, ensuring business critical activities are completed in a timely manner. Performs other related duties as required. |
Minimum Position Qualifications | To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and Experience Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; or 5 years related work experience. 2-4 years related experience in project coordination or sales operations, preferably in a manufacturing. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders. Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with CAD based software is preferred. A proactive and collaborative approach to teamwork, with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and business success. Strong knowledge of shipment, inspection, and conformance processes. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality control software. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and precision. Effective communication and team collaboration skills. Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards. |
Physical Demands | Demonstrates physical and functional ability to perform and accomplish tasks. Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. |
Mental Demands | Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, to include Excel proficiency, is required. Proficiency in ERP System is required. |

May be exposed to odors, chemical agents, dust, fumes, gases, sharp objects, hazardous or moving equipment, wet slippery floors, and extremes in temperature and humidity. Interacts regularly with various staff and employees, and occasionally with vendors, suppliers, community members and regulatory agency representatives. Travel and overtime are required when necessary. |
