As Cargo Sales Executive you have to promote and sell dnata cargo products / services to medium and small Freight Forwarders / Cargo Agents and seek to maximise freight revenues for the contracted airlines, sales commissions for dnata Cargo Partners and maximise spanet penetration with the focus on positioning Cargo Partners as a major GSSA in the region.

In this role you will:

• Plans and recommends to management on an annual basis, sales targets and a promotional action plan based on the spanet demand, competitor activities and feedback from freight agents and exporters
• Ensures that safety briefings are conducted regularly while intervening when there is risk exposure, role model safe behaviours and follows up on corrective actions
• Organises and supervises the work of a small team of direct reports to ensure that work is completed efficiently and in compliance with procedures
• Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment
• Ensures safety of staff and that they have the skills, knowledge, and confidence to work safely by providing support, direction for the desired safety behaviours and leading with safety
• Implements day-to-day operations assigned and ensures compliance with the established standards and procedures
• Contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices, cost reduction and productivity improvement
• Conducts meetings and joint sales calls with airline representatives to ensure that the required number of customers are contacted
• Uses the basket airlines approach to familiarize clients with the type and variety of transport solutions on offer with the objective of running freighter services to facilitate large ad hoc export volumes
• Maintains close contact with internal sales support and operational staff for picking up sales leads and updates them with the current airlines rates. Commissions, latest AWB instructions to ensure accurate information brokerage wherever cargo bookings, quotations, flights schedules, tariffs and available/ booked loads are required
• Identifies opportunities and recommends to CP Management / principal airline counter activities based on spanet trends and competitors airlines activities
• Compiles statistics relating to cargo volumes, revenues, yield for CP and seasonal variations as per customer group under portfolio
• Reviews and analyses business performance / potential Provides recommendations on credit limits after analysing the business performance / potential
• Reviews and analyses the lost sales opportunities in order to recommend timely and suitable remedial measures
• Builds and maintains relationships and regular contacts with principal airlines to ensure that the information is formulated and disseminated such as changes in schedules, roles, etc and to ensure that their requirements are met in a timely manner.

To be considered for this role, you should meet the below criteria:

• High School with certificate (12 years of schooling)
• Experience of 4-6 years in Logistics/ Air Cargo Operations
• UAE driving license is mandatory
• Proficient knowledge in the areas of general airfreight and cargo handling with an international Airline ground handling agent
• Proficient knowledge in load processing and handling
• Proficient IT and Computer Literacy Skills
• English Language / Communication / Professional writing skills
• Proficient Negotiation Skills
• Proficient Safety Awareness Skills
